Halloween means two things: costumes and candy.
While you are figuring out a creative [little] get up for the holiday weekend, you are also being bombarded by bags of butterfingers, kit kats and reeses every time you walk into a grocery story orย drug store.

In case there are tricker-treaters in your hood/apt, here are a few tips, some that I found on fitsugar, for avoiding the temptation of those mini twix and making it a healthier Halloween for both you and those cutie trick-or-treaters:
- Don’t go overboard and buy too much candy! No one needs those leftovers.
- In case you do have leftovers, leave them for your co-workers. Or donate them… to the garbage.
- Consider healthier treats. Not apples, I’m not trying to get your house TP’d – but how about dark chocolate squares?
- Or better yet, skip the candy altogether. Give out glow-stick bracelets, temporary tattoos, vampire teeth or bubbles and be that awesome neighbor.
Easy enough, right?
