March is awesome. I’m just throwing it out there. The beginning of spring, lots of traveling, and my last spring break ever, which is so unfair considering I’ve only had 20-something of them!! (That was a joke, just to clarify).
March is also home of two foodie events. We’ll start with one you all will jump out of your seats for. A nutritionist can dream, right? I’ll let the Griffins give you a hint:
Welcome to National Peanut Month!
This is especially exciting for any NYC-based peanuts. Two of my bests, Kaylee and Sarah, know what they’re doing when it comes to cool adventures in the city. So when they both emailed me about this crazy peanut-related event, it moved to the #1 spot of my Friday to-do list.
Coming to SoHo tomorrow is The Nutropolitan Museum of Art; the world’s first Peanut Butter & Jelly Art Exhibit hosted by Peanut Butter & Co. Yes, we’re talking a pb&j gallery, and then making your own pb&j artwork. Ridiculous. Plus you’ll walk away with a free jar of peanut butter! This is the good kind of peanut butter (natural), not that gross Skippy/Jif trans-fat crap. Most awesomely, by going, they will also donate a jar of peanut butter to the food bank of NYC. Doing good by painting with peanut butter? Count me in.
It’s only open for three days (3/4-3/6), so you better find a way to squeeze some peanut butter-jelly time it into your very busy schedule. Meet you there at 10am? Excellent.
The second part of this post will only be exciting to other fellow nutrition super-nerds: March is National Nutrition Month. Yippee! The theme this year is “Eat Right With Color“. Make it a goal to jazz up your plate with some bright foods (Fruity Pebbles and the like don’t count sweets, but nice try). What does color tell you about a fruit or vegetable? I know you know this, chicks!

Great blog post today! I love natural peanut butter in small doses, particularly on Granny Smith Apples or Pink Lady Apples.
